Jimmy Jane’s Form 6

December 19, 2011 § 8 Comments

A gift from my good friends at Babeland, the Form 6 is to me an interesting piece of sex technology. It is a winner of a couple of design awards, well marketed and beautifully packaged. (It’s like opening up a new iPad!)

The Form 6 can be used externally or internally. The exterior of the toy is primarily a very firm body-safe silicone. The claim is that both ends of the vibe are insertable. One end is girthy, while the other has a nice g-spot reaching curve. (Measuring 7″ x 1.75″ at widest point.)

Both tips have their own vibration unit and control button. The very quiet motors have multiple levels and patterns of vibration to choose from. The controls are on the top of the toy and illuminate as you move through the functions. Like most controls that are inlaid under the silicone exterior, they take a bit of force to as you push through the settings and to turn it off.

Another nod to nice design is in the rechargeable, magnetic dock that is also the storage case. I love a toy that is easy to recharge and easy to store. It means it will stay in rotation.(Travel tip, all rechargeable electronics should go in your carry-on luggage to avoid causing a scene by having them accidentally turn on in your check luggage.)

I’m not crazy about the band around the narrower end. Seams are always hard to clean. But the Form 6 is waterproof and can be immersed in water. That’s awesome. It means you can clean it with soap and water and you can play with it in the bath or shower.

But here’s the rub… actually… the rubs… If you are inserting the larger end, the controls are inside your vagina. My pussy is notoriously strong and even I can’t use the controls in that situation. And for me it is far too subtle in its vibrations, even on the highest speed. That does not mean it would not work you or your lover… but my body requires more. None the less, I am curious to try more Jimmy Jane designs. They are a very interesting manufacturer to me.

At this price ($185), the very best way to know if this toy is for you is to go to a shop where you can hold it in your hands. Isn’t the kind of toy you should buy sight unseen. (Feel unfelt?)
