Jimmy Jane’s Form 6

A gift from my good friends at Babeland, the Form 6 is to me an interesting piece of sex technology. It is a winner of a couple of design awards, well marketed and beautifully packaged. (It’s like opening up a new iPad!)
The Form 6 can be used externally or internally. The exterior of the toy is primarily a very firm body-safe silicone. The claim is that both ends of the vibe are insertable. One end is girthy, while the other has a nice g-spot reaching curve. (Measuring 7″ x 1.75″ at widest point.)
Both tips have their own vibration unit and control button. The very quiet motors have multiple levels and patterns of vibration to choose from. The controls are on the top of the toy and illuminate as you move through the functions. Like most controls that are inlaid under the silicone exterior, they take a bit of force to as you push through the settings and to turn it off.
Another nod to nice design is in the rechargeable, magnetic dock that is also the storage case. I love a toy that is easy to recharge and easy to store. It means it will stay in rotation.(Travel tip, all rechargeable electronics should go in your carry-on luggage to avoid causing a scene by having them accidentally turn on in your check luggage.)
I’m not crazy about the band around the narrower end. Seams are always hard to clean. But the Form 6 is waterproof and can be immersed in water. That’s awesome. It means you can clean it with soap and water and you can play with it in the bath or shower.
But here’s the rub… actually… the rubs… If you are inserting the larger end, the controls are inside your vagina. My pussy is notoriously strong and even I can’t use the controls in that situation. And for me it is far too subtle in its vibrations, even on the highest speed. That does not mean it would not work you or your lover… but my body requires more. None the less, I am curious to try more Jimmy Jane designs. They are a very interesting manufacturer to me.
At this price ($185), the very best way to know if this toy is for you is to go to a shop where you can hold it in your hands. Isn’t the kind of toy you should buy sight unseen. (Feel unfelt?)

I am seriously debating ordering a lelo Gigi, from Rommaines suggestion, do you happen to have a review or any comments you care to share?
I have not tried it myself… but if I were shopping online and wanted to know… I know that Babeland and Eden Fantasies both allow honest customer reviews… good and bad. Here they are…

Wow thanks! I’m surprised to see the multiple comments on the speed of the vibration! Im fairly used to just a regular uncoated bullet but ready to invest if it means I get the same power but without the need to replace it so often! Thanks so much! Can’t wait for your book!
Nothing beats a plug in for vibe, battery operated simply does not deliver the consistency. This one seems overpriced for that, plus the sanitation issue. I like to wash my toys, and don’t want to need a toothbrush to get all the crevices.
BUT the shape looks very inviting. Lose the metal collar, insert girthy end and have narrow end as a clit vibe – that would be worth the price.
Ok, to be totally honest, thus sounds like it was designed by a man. No insult fellas, but it does.
It’s more like… effectiveness gets lost to design. It’s a real problem in the current evolutionary stage of sex toys… They are so into making pretty or believe they need to create some revolutionary design (a hard thing to achieve). And I believe they also do not have enough unbiased testers in the process. Designers will sometimes surround themselves with yes men or people who do not see the big picture. This is why I am trying to be very, very honest in my reviews… for the consumer but also because I know a number of toy designers and I want them to know what features matter to me as a toy lover.
