Position Description: Administrative Assistant / Internship
Time Period: July/August 2011, with option to continue as an intern or paid position
Ducky DooLittle is looking to fill 2 Administrative Assistant Internships. Creative, DIY individuals and/or PR, entertainment, marketing majors encouraged to apply. Ducky DooLittle is a writer, speaker, sex educator and activist. She is published, has toured on and off for 15 years, appeared in major magazine and on television. Ongoing projects include publishing, events and touring.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Have an open attitude toward sexuality and gender.
- Flexible schedule, approximately 30 hours per month
- Live in or very near NYC. (2/3 of your time spent working with Ducky in Manhattan and 1/3 done remotely)
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create marketing plans for current projects
- Create monthly newsletters, press releases and social media management
- Assist with events
- Project and tour management
- Marketing and PR
- Editing
Skills desired:
- Superior written and oral communication and an ability to handle email, correspondence, editing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Organized and punctual
- Have a personal interest in DIY, writing, entertainment, touring, PR, marketing and a desire to understand the back end administrative details that go into having a successful career.
- A big plus if you have a working knowledge of HTML, graphic design and/or drivers license.
